A prequel to the original Dune, it tells the story of how the Sisterhood of Rossak evolved into the Bene Gesserit. The incident with Valya Harkonnen, who used the voice, comes from one called “Mentats of Dune”. All three books intertwine the development of the Sisterhood, the Mentats, the Navigators, and the Suk Doctors.

So what’s the ‘formula’?

I’ve read and watched a lot of fantasy/sdi-fi in my life and I believe I can tell a winner right away, whether it’s The Fifth Element, Lord of the Rings, Edge of Tomorrow, Matrix, GOT or 12 Monkeys. . I’ve seen EVERY classic – too many to mention here.

It just grabs you and you have to see more! The plot and characters pull you in, there are a few nice surprises, it feels real… I agree that some of the minor actors aren’t that great…

Quite a neat production

and that the MASTER of the Sword probably won’t be that ridiculously young… but overall the series so far is engaging, watchable and has a lot of excitement. The “Prophecy” element is delicious and I’m seriously looking forward to what happens next.
